We create, but not at the expense of nature. In order to reduce our environmental footprint, we use sustainable materials in our footwear and upgrade components when we find better alternatives - that is our commitment. We manufacture our products in the United States because we believe that it's important to stay close to production to ensure its integrity and fair trade practices.

We believe that 'less is more'. Buy fewer things that are built to last longer. Our shoes are handcrafted and intended for use in walking, standing, working, living. We believe in clean lines for the modern conscience. We believe that sustainable production is the way forward. We believe in form and fauna.

Form and Fauna works with materials that are ethically produced and sustainably derived:

• • Best quality Italian synthetics (highest environmental ethic of any coagulate producer - "no noxious substances in final products, biodegradable, and in cases of combustion, do not spread toxic gases")
• • Organic hemp fabric (Spring 08)
• • Bamboo and regenerative wood heels (sometimes Alder if hardwood is necessary for heel design)
• • Rubber latex outsole or compressed fermented oak outsole
• • Recycled fiber insole boards
• • Plush, breathable eco liner
• • Water based glues
• • Made by hand in the USA
